Practicum Placement

Obtain invaluable work experience with our successful practicum placement. We provide you with the resources you need to find, complete and transition from your work experience.

Every Reeves College student in every program has access to a Practicum Placement Coordinator. This coordinator works with students to secure practicum placements with companies in their desired career fields.

Another crucial role of the Practicum Coordinators is to closely monitor the needs of the current job market and pass this valuable information on to students.

At Reeves College, we believe that practicum placements provide students with an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field, which can give them a competitive advantage in the job market when they start their new careers.

In fact, we consider the practicum to be an extension of your professional development because you get a chance to put classroom theory into real-life practice in a job setting. This experience will be invaluable as you transition from graduate to full-time worker.

Practicum placements also look good on your resume as employers like to see more than just a diploma. Successful completion of a practicum period demonstrates your ability to function in a workplace. Having this experience on your resume is essential when applying for professional jobs and also helps you stand out against the competition.

Once you've completed your practicum, it's time to work with our Career Services team to find work in a field that you're passionate about.
