Social Impact

At Reeves College, social responsibility is part of our mission. Our goal is to support our students and the communities in which they live through a variety of charitable donations, community-led fundraisers, and partnerships. With its smaller class sizes and community feel, Reeves College participates in a number of community-driven events to engage its students and help them develop community outreach skills.

Collectively, over the last five years, Reeves College has raised nearly $2,800 through fundraising and monetary donations and provided over 3,000 items to local food banks.

In September 2020, Reeves College’s Calgary City Centre campus supported a unique community initiative, driven by the Child and Youth Services Worker program, to spread positivity during a global pandemic. This Wellness Project encouraged students, staff, family members, and the community to paint and recreate a famous Charles Roppel quote: "If you take the 'I' out of illness, and add 'we', you end up with wellness."

Lethbridge campus hosted a clothing drive for students in March 2020 to donate and trade professional, business clothing. Anything that was not collected by the established deadline was donated to the YWCA Harbour House Women’s Emergency Shelter.

In October 2019, the Addictions and Community Services Worker students at Lethbridge campus collected winter clothing to help those in need. Over 100 items were delivered to Galt Gardens Park in Lethbridge.

We are proud to contribute to local organizations and initiatives that make life better in the areas where we live, work and study.
