The Financial Post points to a survey from international research company Universum that asked 3,500 business students to rank their most ideal employers. The results showed a variety of public-sector organizations placed in the top 20, above businesses such as Ernst & Young, Facebook Inc. and Bell Canada. Higher-ranked organizations like the Canadian government, Canada Revenue Agency and the Bank of Canada were all viewed as places with stronger job security.
Not only do these employers entice students because of their employment sustainability, but young professionals are also attracted because of the altruistic nature of the work - making a difference in society and contributing to the safety, health and well-being of others.
