Lethbridge, AB – September 18, 2012 – Reeves College will take part in the annual Word on the Street Festival in Lethbridge on Sunday, September 23, 2012.
Word on the Street is a national one-day festival celebrating literacy, storytelling and the written arts. Sponsored by the Lethbridge Public Library, this free street festival is committed to improving the reading skills and functional literacy of Canadians. Reeves College is proud to participate.
“Word on the Street is such a fun community event for a worthy cause,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, Reeves College’s VP of Marketing. “We look forward to taking part in this year’s festival.”
Word on the Street attendees can stop by the Reeves College booth to learn more about the range of programs offered at the campus. They’ll also have a chance to play a game and win a T-shirt, ball cap and other cool prizes.
For its second year in the city, Word on the Street promises fun for the entire family with live music performances, author readings, workshops, panels and other activities. Along with the main stage, attendees can check out the children’s performance tent, teen zone, main author’s tent as well as a range of exhibitors in the Marketplace.
Word on the Street takes place at the Lethbridge Public Library, 810 5th Avenue South on September 23, 2012, from 11:00am – 5pm.
